2Nice looking, powerful, poor battery life
By M. O'Phelan
Nice looking product. We bought four of them for our resort and restaurant. I picked this one because of the powerful battery voltage of 15.6V. But the battery life is terrible. Product works great for about 5-8 minutes then starts to give out.

2Not much Suck for the Buck
By KH,MD
For the price and proposed voltage it does little beyond what similar $19.95 models in other brands do. Doesn't suck up even piles of dirt unless they are directly (if then) under the suction rectangle. No 'tight corner' attachment makes this farely worthless.

4Perfect hand vac for certain areas
By theus
After decades using DustB*sters I became dissatisfied with their quality and purchased a Dirt Devil BD10045, which looks similar to the BD10125 Gator (this one), but hangs on the wall to recharge. I was delighted with the BD10045 and subsequently bought another. I still had a couple of DustB*sters to replace, so I was delighted when the BD10125 Gator appeared on Vine. Both the Dirt Devils are better than the other brand, but they are more different from each other than I'd expected. This review will compare the two Dirt Devil models. (My review of the BD10045 is online.)POWER: The BD10045 seems considerably more powerful than the Gator. When I turn it on it jumps in my hand. The Gator is quieter and has less suction, but it is adequate for most purposes.CONVENIENCE: The BD10045 attaches to a charging fixture that hangs on the wall, whereas the Gator is charged by the typical black box charger that plugs into an outlet. The wall fixture is fine in places like a basement or a garage, but it might look unattractive hanging in a bedroom or kitchen. The Gator, on the other hand, I have tucked away on a shelf in my living room where it is easily accessible but does not detract from the appearance of the room. That is a big advantage.MISCELLANEOUS: Although the BD10045 is a great vac, the switch that turns it on is less obvious than a big button above the hand grip, the one that opens the unit to empty it. The first time my wife used that vacuum she pushed the big button and dumped a two week accumulation of refuse on the floor. I could hardly blame her, since I'd almost made the same mistake on a couple of occasions. Eventually I put a label - NO! - on the big button. The Gator does not have that problem, and it is easy to empty and/or clean the filter.SUMMARY: Both of the Dirt Devils are better than the DustB*sters I had before. The Gator is ideal for indoors because it is easy to stash it away while charging; its vacuum is good enough to pick up most household disasters (dry, of course). In a work area like a basement or garage, I'd recommend the BD10045 because it has the power to pick up wood chips, sawdust, etc. I am happy to recommend either vacuum.
